Monochrome Photography Awards 2019 - 2nd place winner in 'street' category

Happy to share with you this special moment in my life, where I was given 2nd place at the MONOCHROME PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS 2019 in “Street” category!

Photo was taken in October of 2019 during my trip to Iran.

In this years contest jury (Juraj Mravec, Kamilla Hanapova, Sanket Khuntale, Kim Høltermand, Heiko Gerlicher, Elena Ivskaya, and Heikki Leis) had to judge almost 6.000 photos from 89 countries.

Monochrome Photography Awards represents masterclass level on the international stage of photographic contests around the globe.

I was being shortlisted twice before in this contest in 2016 (“People” category) and 2018 (“Portrait” category) and this year finally I was blessed to win the 2nd place!

McCauley’s Alltech A+ Award Winner

WE DID IT Belinda!!!

I am pleased to inform that my photo taken during CDI Achleiten, Austria at the beautiful stable of Family Max-Theurer, was the winner of the “2018 McCauley’s Alltech ‘A+’ Award” for outstanding coverage of international equestrian sport.

The A+ Journalism Awards were established in 2010 by Alltech, in collaboration with the International Alliance of Equestrian Journalists, to reward creativity, passion and excellence in equestrian journalism.

News was realesed during FEI World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden this weekend.

Monochrome Photography Awards 2018

I am happy to announce that in the 5th edition of Monochrome Awards I was Honorable Mention in Portrait category for photo “Resting shepherd” that was made in Pieniny Mountains. Monochrome Awards is an international competition for photographers, who take black and white pictures. This is my second achievement in Monochrome Photography Awards in last three years.

International Photographer of the Year 2017

Just few days ago we knew the best photographers in the “International Photographer of the Year 2017” contests! This year Jury had to look through 4500 photos from all over the world. Somehow I have managed to go to the final stage were two of my works were Honorable Mention.

My first photo “Stallions of the cimarron” was noticed in the Landscape category. Photo was taken during my trip to Iceland. More photos from this trip you will find on my web site.

My second work was taken during Cavaliada in Poznań and it was Honorable Mention in the Open Theme category. Photo was taken as a part of sponosored gallery for the Hippovet company, official partner of St.Hippolyt.

GRAND PRESS PHOTO 2017! My photo in the final in SPORT category!

Grand Press Photo is the biggest and most important photo contests in Poland. This is the Oscar’s of photography here in Poland. All the biggest photographic names from whole country came to Warsaw for the gala and prize giving ceremony. I was among this years finalists of sport category and with my wife Dominica we both participated in Warsaw’s gala.

Jury of Grand Press Photo 2017: Francesco Zizola (Italian photoreporter NOOR Agency, winner of World Press Photo), Maria Mann (European Pressphoto Agency), Beata Łyżwa-Sokół („Gazeta Wyborcza”), Jiří Siostrzonek (Instytut Twórczej Fotografii), Maciej Skawiński (photograph, winner of the World Press Photo), Andrzej Zygmuntowicz (Związek Polskich Artystów Fotografików). 5200 photos took part in the contest. 65 photographers from Poland got into the Final in 11 categories. When you being mentioned with polish greatests and you have guys like Tomasz Tomaszewski i Bartek Lazar over your back then you know that you are where you always dream that you would be. Every year I am looking at the photos in the internet and this year my story is being told and my portrait of Wanda Wąsowska is one of the 5 best sport photos in Poland.

3rd place in ŚLĄSKA FOTOGRAFIA PRASOWA 2016!

Śląska Fotografia Prasowa is the contest for photographers from Polish Silesia region This year the jury had to deal with 667 works made by 70 photographers. Do finałowego etapu dostały się 152 zdjęcia 31 autorów.

Squad of the jury:

prof. Marian Oslislo, profesor Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Katowicach – president of Jury;

prof. Jan Malicki, dyrektor Biblioteki Śląskiej;

Witold Englender, organizator Ogólnopolskiego Festiwalu Fotografii Otworkowej;

Katarzyna Łata-Wrona, członek zarządu Głównego ZPAF;

Arkadiusz Ławrywianiec, przedstawiciel fotoreporterów, prezes zarządu Okręgu Śląskiego ZPAF;

II place – Dawid Chalimoniuk for the single photo „Abortion” plus the award of 2500 pln,

Monochrome Photography Awards 2016

“Monochrome Photography Awards” is a prestigious contest for photographers specialized in black and white photography. Photographers from 82 countries send their work in total count of 8122 photos. f

What hit me while I was looking through all that photos is…WOW what a really good quality of the photos. And then…BAAAM. here it is. My photo “Lost by the wall” taken in Jerusalem/Isreal by the Western Wall. Amazing joy which is hard to describe!

"Stalker" being awarded at HUMANDOC PROCLUB CAMERA photo-contest

I am happy to announce that my photo “Stalker” taken in Metro Saint Peterburg was honorable mention in international contest HumanDOC Proclub Camera. Photos will be also exhibited at “7.Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmów Dokumentalnych HumanDOC” from 25-27 of November in Warsaw’s KINOTEKA.

FEI Solidarity World Photo Grand Prix

I am happy to announce that three of my photos was shortlisted in a photography contests “FEI Solidarity World Photo Grand Prix”, which was organized by Federation Equestre Internationale. 4000 photos entered the competition. All the photos were rated by the outstanding jury: Princess Haya (the President of the FEI), Bob Rosato ( “USA Today” photographer), Melissa Farlow (“National Geographic” phorographer), Ingrid Klimke (double gold Olympic medalist) and Arnd Bronhorst (very known freelance photographer from The Netherlands). Its so cool, when you art is being rated by the people, who are in a industry for so long and have so many experience. I have entered my photos into five categories and three of them were noticed in a “Portrait”, “Events” and “Professional photographer”. Besides this three categories my photos participated was also shortlisted in a “Photo of the Year” category.

Among 4000 photos Jury selected 10 photos in each category.

“Watchers” (photo above) was shortlisted in a “Professional photographer” category.

“The first step” was listed in “Portrait” category:

Photos taken during CDI Zakrzów 2013 was shortlisted in “Event” category.

All three photos above were also shortlisted in “Photo of the Year” category. It is real honour for that not only one, but three photos were noticed by the Jury.

Organizers of “FEI Solidarity World Photo Grand Prix” were Federation Equestre Internationale and Action Images, part of Reuters Agency.
